The state of Tennessee requires any Real Estate License candidate to complete and pass both the 60 hour Principles of Real Estate and the 30 hour Course for New Affiliates.

Do you offer financing?

Unfortunately, no. We do not offer any type of financing at this time. All courses must be paid in full in order for you to gain access.

What happens after I finish the 60 hour Principles of Real Estate?

We will reach out to you to collect some information that we will pass along to PSI. Once PSI has processed this information, you will receive a confirmation email with a link. Follow this link to complete your PSI account setup and exam registry. You will also gain access to your certificate of completion on your student course home page. This applies to all courses.

Should I reach out to PSI when I have finished my course? I want to sit for my exam.

Please do not reach out to PSI or try to setup an account to register for your exam. You will not yet have access to the right exam in your account and if you sign up for the wrong exam they will not refund your money. When you have passed your course we will reach out to you to collect some information that we will pass along to PSI. Yes. Please send us an email with your student information including phone number and which products you would like to extend. We will set up a call with you to discuss extension cost and can take your payment information over the phone.

I have my license in another state. Which courses do I need to complete to be licensed in Tennessee?

Please complete Worksheet A and email to Trec.info@tn.gov. They will let you know which courses you will need to complete in order to be Licensed in Tennessee.

I have failed my Real Estate pre-licensing exam. What do I do?

The affiliate broker and broker examinations are divided into two sections: National and State. Candidates who pass one section but fail the other only need to retake the section they failed. The passing score for one section of an examination is valid for two (2) retakes of the failed section or six (6) months, whichever comes first.

Affiliate broker and broker examination candidates who fail the first attempt at the examination may retake it as soon as they want (however you cannot schedule until 24 hrs have elapsed since the failed examination). After the second attempt, an examination candidate must wait thirty (30) days between any subsequent failed exams to retake the examination.

How do I contact PSI about a Real Estate Exam?

The Tennessee Real Estate Commission now has a direct number for PSI.  You can now call 855-340-3710 for questions about scheduling a test or other testing issues.  This number will only be able to help with questions about the real estate test.  They will not be able to help with questions about other professional license tests.

How do I apply for an Affiliate Broker license?

Affiliate broker candidates must complete sixty (60) hours of real estate education in real estate principles/fundamentals before they take the examination. Proof that the education described above has been completed will be forwarded by the school where the education was completed to PSI. You may not register for the examination until the school has provided that information to  PSI [pdf]. The school will also provide you a certificate or letter of course completion that you must submit to TREC with your application for licensure. Affiliate brokers licensed after 12/31/04 must have completed the 30-hour "Course for New Affiliates" prior to their license being issued and a letter or certificate of completion of the "Course for New Affiliates" must also be submitted with the license application.

Once you have completed the pre-licensing coursework and requirements you can apply for a license online at core.tn.gov
